I'm a Dutch allround Game Artist.
I studied media design in Utrecht and followed additional fine art classes in the weekend. Since my main interest had always been video games, I graduated with a thesis on the subject of audience driven game design. It fascinates me to be able to create worlds for others to enjoy and interact with and the ever changing technologies challenge me to keep educating myself and experiment with new possibilities.
Since my studies I have built up professional experience in many facets of game development: 2D & 3D art, programming, game design and animation.
I worked for a number of different game studios and although I focus on art, the whole of game development interests me.
I worked on two internationally published PC/Console titles as well as many casual and serious games. I learned the possibilities and constraints of HTML5 game development, while working for casual game giant Spil Games, helped building up a succesful new casual game franchise at GameHouse and applied my skills to help tackle healthcare challenges at Game Solutions Lab.
I always try to think from the perspective of the end user and adjust my designs accordingly, rather than pushing my own preferred style
